I have been an IPT lawyer for around 15 years now and am heading DLA Piper's Luxembourg IPT practice. I advise key players in the financial and e-commerce sectors on all aspects of intellectual property, technology projects, media, telecommunications, e-commerce, e-payments and data privacy. I focus on GDPR, data protection and privacy issues and on IT outsourcing and procurement projects − in particular in the financial sector and the investment fund industry − and handle complex multi-jurisdictional projects. With my background in civil law and commercial litigation, I also handle challenging litigation matters.
I am passionate about technology and innovation and love to discover new gadgets, services and solutions − hence also my keen interest in the startup ecosystem. I regularly mix and mingle with entrepreneurs at the numerous tech and start-up events in Luxembourg and enjoy learning about both the difficult challenges and the great wins in their journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 kids and, time permitting, experiment (or as my wife calls it, play) with my 3d printer.
