Trent Dykes

I have gained a wealth of legal and business experience in over 20 years of practicing law and leading organizations. From January 2005 until September 2007, I worked as the General Counsel of Petrom, the largest company in Romania. I am currently the managing partner of the DLA Piper office in Bucharest. As a lawyer, I have completed a lot of M&A and capital markets transactions, a good deal of them in technology-related industries. Technology is transforming the world and over the past few years I have found myself focusing on it more and more.  For instance, I recently attended a week-long program at Singularity University, the global learning and innovation community based in Silicon Valley that uses exponential technologies to tackle the world's biggest challenges and build a better future for all.

In my personal time, I enjoy reading (both fiction and business and investment books), listening to music (opera, classical, jazz), photography and travelling. I also go to Aikido practice whenever I can.
