I am a German employment lawyer, head of the German Employment Group and assist international companies in avoiding the pitfalls of German employment laws. Whether it involves assisting a company in a post-merger integration project, preparing a restructuring, representing the company at the German labor courts (including labor court of appeals and the Federal Labor Court) or negotiating with works councils on all sorts of issues which trigger co-determination rights, I love bridging the gap between international companies, in particular those of Anglo-American origin, and German's highly regulated employment laws while maintaining company culture and values.
I live with my wife and daughter in Hamburg, Germany. In my spare time I love travelling, hiking and playing golf with friends or my family (although the picture probably mirrors the reality in a more realistic way).
