I am a corporate lawyer who enjoys learning about my clients' businesses and adding value for my clients by providing commercial and pragmatic advice.
I grew up in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. I graduated from Otago University with a law degree as well as a science degree majoring in genetics. I enjoy combining my science background with my law practice and have a particular focus on technology, agribusiness and the food and beverage sectors.
After graduation, I began my legal career with DLA Piper's Auckland corporate team. I recently spent a year working with DLA Piper's London corporate team and am now back in Auckland assisting emerging growth companies with their corporate needs, representing companies and investors in venture financing rounds, and working with sellers and buyers in the sale and acquisition of mature businesses.
Living in beautiful New Zealand allows me indulge in my other passions: skiing in the winter, sailing in the summer and golfing all year round. I also love travelling with my wife — we have been to many places in North and South America, Europe, Southeast Asia and across the Pacific.
