I was born in New York City, but was up brought in a diverse environment between Brazil and the US Rockies. Son of Brazilian parents, I spent most of my childhood years in Brazil, with periods of time in the Western United States.
I earned my bachelors at law in Brazil and practiced corporate law for over 10 years before deciding to move back to the US and continue advising US and foreign clients in cross-border M&A and general corporate work from here. As a young associate, I lived briefly in Madrid while working on cross-border transactions. For a couple of years before moving to the Bay Area and joining DLA in 2014, I also lived in New York and Chicago.
I work with a variety of clients ranging from startups to strategic buyers and private equity and venture funds. I believe that being hands on, available and responsive to clients is key to gain their trust and attend to their needs. In this competitive market that is Silicon Valley, the relationships that I develop with clients are what drives me to continue working hard. I want to make sure I am part of their path to success.
What excites me about working with entrepreneurs is not only dealing with extremely smart people, but also seeing different solutions to different problems every day. The level of creativity is remarkable.
I am a Portuguese native speaker, fluent in English and Spanish. My passions are soccer (like this would not be on the top of the list!), skiing and spending time with family and friends.
