I am a corporate lawyer in DLA Piper's Moscow office. While I focus on private M&A and venture capital deals, I also have broad corporate finance and commercial experience. I enjoy solving legal problems for the client, welcome new challenges and find the client's satisfaction and positive feedback the most rewarding part of my job.
I grew up and went to school and university in Moscow and then moved to the UK to do an LLM at Oxford and to pursue further studies at the University of Law in London. After that, I did a training contract and qualified as an English solicitor with a US law firm in London.
Having enjoyed my time in the UK and travelling around Europe, and having gained professional experience and exposure to international work in London, I am now back in Russia with DLA Piper advising Russian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and general corporate matters. On the VC side, I have assisted on and successfully closed a number of early-stage investment deals (primarily Seed and Series A) acting for both founders and investors.
In my free time, I enjoy travelling and seeing new places, reading in foreign languages (German and French) and undertaking various sport activities. I recently visited the US West and a breath-taking helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon is still a vivid memory. My newest sporting endeavour is learning to play tennis – I'm still a novice and am loving the learning process.
