I am a tax partner at DLA Piper who represents clients from the inception of their business, to financing and restructuring considerations as the business grows, to merger and acquisition activities as the business matures. My practice focuses on ensuring the maximum financial benefit and optimum tax treatment on federal and state tax issues. My clients are buyers and sellers in private equity transactions as well as strategic acquirers and emerging growth sellers. I enjoy the creative problem solving that comes with helping my clients navigate through the complex world of taxation. I am actively involved in managing DLA Piper's transactional tax practice, which is one of the largest tax practices on the west coast, as the Transactional Tax Co-Managing Partner, and I am Vice-Office Managing Partner of the Silicon Valley office.
On a personal note, I am a Midwest native and have lived in the Bay Area for 20 years. I currently live in Palo Alto with my husband and three daughters. My undergraduate degree is from The Ohio State University and I am, and always will be, an avid Buckeye fan. Go Bucks!! I obtained my juris doctorate at Pepperdine University in Malibu after spending a few years in public accounting in the San Francisco office of Arthur Andersen to obtain my CPA.
My hobbies include reading, running, cycling and stand-up paddleboarding, when I can fit it in!
