I am an employment attorney who provides strategic counseling and advice to companies and senior executives across the globe.
I enjoy working with companies of all types – whether startups or long-standing institutions – in building and maintaining a positive, productive workplace for their employees. My practice includes counseling clients on litigation avoidance through compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, diligent internal investigations and negotiation of separation agreements. I also help companies draft and negotiate enforceable restrictive covenant agreements − to protect such business assets as their confidential information and their goodwill with clients and employees.
When litigation or arbitration becomes necessary, I represent clients in employment disputes at the trial and appellate levels and before administrative agencies and alternative dispute resolution bodies. My litigation experience includes defense of discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, disputes involving the enforcement of employment contracts and non-competition covenants, and tort claims arising out of the employment relationship.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife (a law professor) and two children, rooting for the New York Mets, Brooklyn Nets and New York Giants and staying involved with the Brown University alumni network. I am also an avid long-distance runner (six half-marathons and counting), which, given my passion for food, wine and whisky, has become a necessity. While I am a New Jersey native, I must admit that I have come to love living on Long Island, New York.
