I represent companies with global operations or cross-border transactions as their international legal and tax counsel, helping them to navigate complex US and global legal and tax landscapes, ensuring my clients achieve their business and growth objectives in a tax-efficient manner, while complying with complex international regulatory requirements. Often, I act as the managing international legal counsel, establishing and centrally managing effective and efficient multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary legal teams in connection with global expansion or global restructuring of my clients. I focus my practice on corporate international tax; operational, legal and business advising, planning and structuring; global transfer pricing strategy and documentation; international tax controversy; cross-border acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures; cross-border post-acquisition integration planning and structuring; and legal entity rationalization of global structures.
I am a member of DLA Piper's National Diversity and Inclusion Committee as the Co-Chair for the San Francisco office.
On a personal level, I am an immigrant to the US and I come from a multicultural background. This gives me a deep understanding of different cultures and perspectives, which have helped me significantly to develop a successful global practice. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, 17-year-old son and our standard poodle, Max.
