I help clients address a broad range of labor and employment issues. These include everything from discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower and wrongful termination claims to revising employee handbook provisions, preparing employment and non-compete agreements, and tackling wage-and-hour matters, like misclassification claims and large class actions.
I am from the Bay Area and went to college at the University of California, Santa Cruz. During college, I spent a year studying abroad in Rio de Janeiro, learning Portuguese (and trying to learn how to samba). I went to law school at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where I was a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund and OutLaw.
I love to travel and have lived in Guatemala and Australia. In my spare time, I like exploring California with my squirrel-chasing German Shorthaired Pointer named Badger.
I first started working with startups during law school as a law clerk at Fullscreen, Inc., a rapidly expanding new media and software company. I loved being part of a small high-energy team helping to build a business from the ground up. Now, as outside counsel, there is nothing I enjoy more than working on the novel and complex employment matters often faced by startups.
