As a transactional tax lawyer, I have advised clients on a wide range of federal, state and international tax issues pertaining to all stages of a company's life, including entity selection and formation, financing, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border planning and tax-efficient dissolutions. My goal is to ensure my clients optimize their financial position by maximizing their tax benefit on a federal, state and international level.
I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida and the Florida State College of Law, focusing my studies on the various aspects of corporate and tax law. I started my career as a tax consultant, advising on M&A transactions for Fortune 500 companies. After practicing for a few years, I decided to attend New York University School of Law to obtain my L.L.M in Taxation. With that in hand, I moved to Silicon Valley to join the amazing tax practice here at DLA Piper.
My hobbies outside of work include volunteering, weightlifting, intramural sports and reading.
Zach is admitted to practice in Florida only.
