I am a benefits and executive compensation attorney who represents both startups and established companies. My practice focuses on executive compensation arrangements, including equity arrangements, change-in-control and severance arrangements, executive retention arrangements and employment agreements. I also have experience counseling clients on compensation and employee benefits issues that arise in the context of corporate transactions.
In addition, I advise on compliance obligations under the increasingly complex rules that are imposed on retirement and welfare plans.
On a personal level, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. For my undergraduate degree, I went to a small liberal arts college in Arkansas, Lyon College, where I played soccer and met my wife. I attended law school and obtained my LL.M. in tax at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
