I am a graduate based in DLA Piper's Melbourne office, to be admitted as a lawyer in December 2018.
Recently, I have been working closely with early-stage companies to assist them with all their legal needs, including set-up steps, corporate structuring and capital raising. A recent deal I worked on was for Flare, an Australian startup specializing in HR and payroll technology, in its Series B investment of $21 million led by New York VC firm Point72 Ventures. Also, I have assisted the founders of Reinventure with their third fund, with another $50 million commitment from Westpac, taking the bank's total commitment to $150 million.
I studied a double degree in Law and Business, specializing in Management and Innovation. While completing my studies, I worked full time as a paralegal in a number of organizations and across a wide variety of sectors. My career began with the in-house legal team of Foundation for Young Australians, a national nonprofit, then with the in-house legal team of Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) assisting support of CSIRO's National Research Flagships. Before joining DLA Piper, I was working in the in-house legal team of Future Fund, Australia's sovereign wealth fund.
Outside of work, I love to run and spend time with friends and family.
