I am a business lawyer in DLA Piper’s Vancouver office who works closely with startup and emerging growth companies. I enjoy helping entrepreneurs see their dreams come to fruition. I ensure that the business team understands the rationale behind the legal solutions we provide and that the solutions meet the company’s needs. My practice is predominately in the technology sector, and my experience includes working with software, e-commerce, and hardware businesses across various industries. I work with a number of clients in the life sciences, food and beverage, and clean energy spaces, and I have experience advising companies in heavily regulated industries such as the gaming and liquor industry. I regularly assist with company formation, shareholder and founder agreements, raising funds, commercial agreement reviews, compensation plans, employment agreements, contractor agreements, and purchase and sale transactions.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. I studied commerce and law at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and spent semesters abroad in Bordeaux, France and Groningen, Netherlands.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing soccer, reading historical fiction, and travelling to new destinations. PS: I’m the woman on the right, not the llama.
