I am a corporate lawyer based in St. Petersburg focusing on M&A deals and general corporate issues. I also help startups navigate their legal needs in such spheres as personal data and privacy, IP protection, commercial agreements and legal issues surrounding new technologies (blockchain, ICO, AI, Internet of Things, autonomous cars, etc.).
Why startups? In the early 2000s, when I was a law student, my friends and I made simple websites and forums, mostly just for fun. So I’m familiar with the basics of HTML and programming. When I became a lawyer, I found working with startups and technology companies attractive because of the possibility to communicate with amazing, highly-motivated, enthusiastic, and smart people. Thanks to my interest in IT I can speak the same language as founders (Java for me is not just a lovely island near Bali) and it helps me to tailor my legal advice to their business needs.
Outside of work, I love snowboarding (the French Alps are amazing!) and ice hockey.
